As you can imagine, back in 1989, when the roads in Karon Beach were all dirt and there was only a handful of foreigners around, it was real tough getting everything together to make a Real American Style Steak. Now, we do that along with a popourri of International and fusion cuisine items.

We love to take care of everyone's desire. But at first people think, "Isn't American food just hamburgers and hot dogs?". So we've been showing folks year after year that American style food is really a mix of many ideas that taste good. It is actually a combination of ideas from all around the world which people nowadays call Fusion or International cuisine. If we were an Italian restaurant, we would have to make everything "just like mama used to make" and that wouldn't be any fun. American style fusion is fun to make and fun to eat because we're allowed to serve anything that tastes good. We can do Italian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Swedish, Greek, Mexican, Texas, or a mix of them all.

You may have noticed that kitchen hygiene is up to the restaurant operator throughout most of Asia. But please don't be afraid at the Karon Cafe'; we operate under the same health guidelines established in the USA and Europe. See for yourself, our kitchen is modern and clean. In this hot climate we are proud to say that we have the best refrigeration and food preparation systems available including Electrolux-Zanussi, Garland, Hobart, and Lincat.

We also use digital devices and modern technology to clear our kitchen of bacteria as well as monitor food preparations. Our Salad Buffet is of special concern because of the high temperatures in Thailand. Our system is specially designed to maintain proper temperatures. Most of our vegetables are raised hydroponically without chemicals and also soaked in Food Safe to make sure that no bacteria or chemicals remain. So you can enjoy vegetables in our restaurant just like you do at home (presuming you live in a first world country). At the end of each day, our kitchen is sterilized with environmentally friendly Ecolab products and we have an open kitchen policy, please feel free to inspect our kitchen and stock at any time.
